The best solution for all Zimbabweans is if the ban is overturned and all imports are allowed in as normal. Failing that, the next best thing would be to introduce pre-shipment inspection such as JEVIC or JAAI so that only roadworthy vehicles are allowed to be imported into Zimbabwe. The pre-shipment inspections will ensure that any car that is not roadworthy will not be allowed to leave the shores of Japan for Zimbabwe. The cost is about US$200 for the inspection, but this is minimal compared to the price of a late model vehicle less than 5 years old. Let's hope for some success and good news soon.
